Position Overview:
TheAccountant, Corporate Accounting,is responsible for preparing various monthly journal entries andaccrualsin accordancewith GAAP and company financial policy,as well asanalyzing business data to support Optima’s overall business goals and objectives.This position will closely partner with other businessfunctions to appropriately account for and drive day to day operations within Corporate. The ideal candidate will be expected to gain an understanding of how Corporate supportsthe business and participate invarious initiatives to make continuous improvement in business practice.
Key Responsibilities:
The Accountant, CorporateAccounting,will be responsible of the following:
- Maintaining fixed asset and depreciation activitiesin BNA
- Entering new leases within lease accountingtool
- Reviewing consolidated intercompany balances and recordingintercompany loan interest
- Completion and review ofassigned monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries
- Preparation of monthly accountreconciliations, flux analysis, and reporting requirements
- Serving as Treasury backup as needed (e.g. recording daily cash payments)
- Provide accounting and analytical support for FP&A and other business functions
- Liaise with Americas/International accounting teams
- Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal andexternal reporting, as well as audit requests
- Provide year-end audit support
- Ad hoc projects
Skills and Qualifications:
•B.S. in Accounting or Finance
•Minimum 2 years Accounting/FP&A experience
•CPAorMBA candidate preferred but not required
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace change
•Effectiveverbal and written communication skills
•Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
•Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
•Proficient in MS Office Products
•NetSuite/Oracle PBCS experience abig plus
